Galerie Janine Rubeiz is presenting in Abu Dhabi Art a selection of recent works by Lebanese Contemporary artists among those who are shaping the artistic identity of the gallery. Following her retrospective show at the Beirut Exhibition Center in February 2013, Huguette Caland will show early works from the sixties and seventies, in which we can already see the sign and patterns that defines her general body of work. Jamil Molaeb present paintings from his latest series featuring large scale abstract works inspired by Arab cities and architecture. A section of the booth will be dedicated to works related to war and recent conflicts happening in the Arab world: Bassam Geitani created a wall installation with Arabic Calligraphy in memory of War victims of the Lebanese civil war. Ghassan Ghazal worked on sculptures bullets. Ahmed Kleige painted the victims of conflicts. In his neon light works, Hanibal Srouji remembers the glorious years just before civil war started in Beirut. Also available at the booth, works by many artists of the gallery: Ara Azad, Mansour el Habre, Rim el Jundi, Laure Ghorayeb, Joseph Harb, Mazen Kerbaj, Charles Khoury, Rima Maroun, Rania Matar and Sandra Issa.
